Absolutely stunning Boy…

Beautiful sculpture & amazing craftsmanship.
He has made himself at home in our back room fondly know to us as the cowshed.
They are such beautiful proud animals & I am pleased to say I now own two of them…his Brother is the white one with a beautiful pink nose. They make us smile every time we walk in the room.

Magnificent

If you're looking for a statement piece of Art, look no further than the Highland Cow Bust by Matt Buckley. It is both majestic and beautiful. The design is inspirational and unique. As with all of the sculptures, and we have several of them, it is very tactile and captures your eye to different elements every time you look at it. As an artist, Matt Buckley really does have the "Edge".

So pleased they’ve finally done a Highland Cow

I’ve been waiting for Matt to do a highland cow for years and I’m so pleased I now own one. It’s my new favourite Edge Sculpture and makes a stunning statement piece.

Thank you for excellent service as always Artworx!

Frequently asked questions

What are Edge Sculptures made of?

Edge sculptures are made of ceramic polystone which is a mix of crushed marble with resin to bind it all together

Where are they made?

They're designed by our local sculptor Matt Buckley and made here in Shropshire, just up the road from our Gallery

How do I clean them?

We'd recommend gently cleaning with a soft feather or synthetic duster to keep your sculpture looking at its best

Can I keep them outside?

Yes you can as they're frost-proof - HOWEVER they're not protected from the effects of weather (sun, rain, snow, etc) which can change them over time ... and don't forget the risk of pets and young children!

Are they unique?

Each piece is cast in a mould based on Matt Buckley's original sculpture - they're then hand finished, including fettling and painting, so each piece will be ever so slightly different

Some of Matt's sculptures are numbered or limited editions - you'll find details on relevant pieces

Where should I buy Edge Sculpture?

Here at Artworx of course 😊

We're Matt's hometown stockist for Edge Sculpture and it’s a real passion for us - as you can see from our reviews we offer the best customer service available

  • Design

Matt Buckley is the Creative Director and designer of the stunning Edge Sculpture range - he initially sketches then sculpts each new piece out of clay, perfectly blending structure with strength to produce a prototype full of charm and character

  • Cast

The prototype is used to create a rubber mould, marble resin is poured into the mould which is then lowered into a vacuum chamber to remove unwanted air bubbles - once cured and hardened, the cast is carefully removed to reveal the first white sample

  • Paint

After unwanted mould lines have been removed, the sample is levelled and sand-blasted to give it a slight key - it's then painted to produce a master against which all future production sculptures will be compared

    A masterpiece has been created
